Yamaha Tall Windshield

WHY? I'm too old and have been riding too long to enjoy bugs in my teeth. A windshield does a good job of keeping the wind off of me and really reduces fatigue on long rides. In cold weather it's a must. The Yamaha tall windshield measures about 21" from the top of the headlight to the top of the shield, just enough to allow me to see over it. I ordered the assembly and the brackets from Yamaha Sportscenter in Texas. They offer great discounts and the service is first-rate. Tell Brad and Tony I said hello. You can order online, but call them via their toll-free line if you need a special item or have a question.

SERVICE. Excellent. I called direct because I had a few questions. Brad answered them for me and took the order. It showed up on the doorstep the next day via UPS! Packaging was good and all parts were included. Product looked to be excellent quality, with good chrome frame and brackets and no scratches on the lexan.

INSTALLATION. Instructions were clear and complete. The job was pretty simple and could be accomplished by anyone with moderate skills and tools. Bracket installation and windshield adjustment took a bit of time--about 30 minutes--but all parts were supplied and everything fit well.

RESULTS. Great. The top of the windshield ends just below my eye level. It blocks the wind well, making the ride much more comfortable. Looks good on the bike, too...

Worth the money? Definitely. Wouldn't do without it.
