Timberwolf
Tank Bib

WHY? I
use my windshield bag to carry items such as my cellphone or garage
opener, but during warm weather I often ride without the windshield.
I need a place to carry some small items, and I saw a post on the ISRA
board giving high marks to Timberwolf
Leather and their products. After visiting the site and checking
references I decided to give them a try. The site was easy to
navigate and offered secure ordering. You may customize your bib with
a number of colors and options. I put together a combination that I
thought would look good on my bike and placed the order.
SERVICE. A
mixed bag. Tim states clearly on his site that the bibs are made to
order and that the delivery won't be quick. He wasn't kidding. I
received my order almost 2 months to the day after placing it. If
you're in a hurry you'll be disappointed, but I give them credit for
being honest with their customers. The bib arrived via UPS
well-packaged with complete instructions for installation.
INSTALLATION.
Instructions were clear and easy to understand. The job was pretty
simple and could be accomplished by anyone with even limited skills.
The only real difficulty was lining up the speedometer bezel and
getting it replaced with the original hardware. Working slowly and
carefully, the job took me about 15 minutes. All parts were supplied
and everything fit well.
RESULTS.
Really nice. The leather is nice, heavy stock. The stitching is clean
and even, and the trim work, conchos and studs are done well. The
craftsmanship on this bib is really first-rate and makes some of the
imported bibs look really cheap.
Worth the money?
Absolutely. You can buy a cheaper bib, but I don't know that I've
ever seen a finer one. Kudos to Tim and Tami for delivering such
quality work! |
