Kuryakyn Iso-Grips

WHY? I'm always looking for ways to make the V Star a more comfortable ride. It has pretty good road manners for a V-twin, but vibration can still be a factor during a long ride. I've used the Iso-Grips on a couple of of my Harleys and found them to be very comfortable. I ordered a set from Yamaha Sportscenter in Texas. I didn't find the grips listed on their web site, but I called their toll-free line to see if they were in stock.

SERVICE. Excellent. These guys are incredible! Great prices, quick shipping, and just about the finest service anywhere. These guys are bikers and really treat their customers well. The grips were in stock and I placed my order. It showed up on the doorstep the next day via UPS! Packaging was good and all parts were included. Product looked to be excellent quality.

INSTALLATION. Instructions were confusing because these grips fit a number of different applications. They also had that annoying feature of being written in three different languages. I've changed grips on about 50 different bikes, so I didn't need the instructions, but a novice could have a difficult time deciphering them. I removed the old grips and installed the new ones in less than 30 minutes. Glue was supplied for the left grip, but I used the old biker's trick of installing it with hair spray--worked great!

RESULTS. Really nice. The rubber inserts absorb much of the vibration, and the slightly larger diameter of the new grips is easier on my old arthritic hands. Though I didn't buy them for their appearance they do look pretty nice.

Worth the money? Absolutely!
